The Pressure Cell X-138-P comes with a mounting plate. This design offers the possibility to mount the Load Cell from above with 4 screws. The load cell is suitable for universal use in industrial force measurement and can be used for static and dynamic processes. The compression Force Sensor has an encapsulated IP65 stainless steel housing.
This allows it to be used even under stressful environmental conditions. The force applied centrally is measured in the range of 3 – 500 kN via the force application knob. The Force Sensor comes in different sizes depending on the force range, from Ø 74 x 41 mm to Ø 132 x 97 mm. The force is applied centrally via the spherical force application button.

Electrical connection
The Force Sensors from X-Sensors are based on a strain gauge full bridge with strain gauges. The output signal for this Sensor is specified in mV/V. Various input modules of controllers already allow the direct connection of Force Sensors with strain gauge full bridge.
In addition, measuring Amplifiers with voltage output (0-10 V) and current output (4-20 mA) are available, which amplify the strain gauge full bridges accordingly. The measuring Amplifiers are available in a robust field housing, for DIN rail mounting or in an inline housing.
Mechanical connection / construction
The advantages of the compression Force Sensors with force application knob are the simple mounting and the precise force application via the Sensor. This type of Force Sensor is always suitable when compressive force is to be measured. The flat design of the Load Cell has the perfect properties for installation in confined spaces. The various Force Transducers are universally applicable and are used in the areas of measuring and testing technology, industrial process control, press-in force measurement, machine control, special machine construction, tool construction and machine condition monitoring.
The installation of the Force Sensors with spherical load introduction knob is quick and uncomplicated. The Sensor is screwed on from below on one side and then measures the force acting on the button. A special version for screwing from above is available. The surface on which the Force Sensor is mounted must be flat and sufficiently rigid so that it cannot deform during loading.
