Strain Transducer X-103-S30
especially suitable for applications with full bridge signal mV/V
A major challenge is to reliably measure small strains in rigid constructions, or machine frames. The measuring bridge of the X-103-S30 with four strain gauges features a particularly high sensitivity of 3 mV/V compared to conventional Strain Transducers.
The signal yield is twice that of conventional Strain Sensors. Specially developed for very rigid machine frames, even the smallest strains in rigid structures can be reliably detected. The solid steel housing and the tight design (IP65) guarantee problem-free operation, even under difficult environmental conditions.
The high signal yield enables a high resolution even with small strains. At the same time, no compromises have to be made in terms of speed, which allows the use in dynamic applications.
Properties
How it works
The Surface Strain Sensor X-103-S30 detects the strain between the two screw-on surfaces and amplifies it mechanically. This concentrates the strain on the measuring point, where it is converted into an electrical signal by means of a resistive measuring bridge.
Strain Transducers are very compact in dimensions and easy to install, regardless of the nominal forces. Since the sensors are installed on the machine component outside the working space, they are an elegant alternative to conventional Force Sensors even when space is limited.
