Strain measurements in dynamic applications

Strain sensors for cyclic measurements can measure forces quickly and accurately

The cyclic strain transducers are suitable for applications with recurring, rapid force cycles.

Due to the permanent storage of the zero point adjustment, even in the event of a power failure and the unlimited taring operations, the strain sensors with process tare are ideally suited. Equipped with an integrated measuring amplifier for a robust output signal, the strains in the force bypass can be measured precisely.

Thanks to the very compact designs, the sensors can be mounted easily, quickly and, above all, permanently. In addition, there is greater protection and increased longevity, since the installation takes place outside the mechanical processes.

Measuring operations can be performed repeatedly and very precisely.

Advantages of cyclic strain sensors

  • Analog signal path with fast response time
  • For cyclic applications with external reset or tare control input for automatic zero point adjustment, suitable for periodic zero point adjustment processes (Process-Tare)
  • Permanent storage of zero point adjustment even in case of power failure, without limitation of taring operations
  • Monitoring and documentation of process forces for increased process reliability (e.g. joining forces, automatic assembly, press force, detection of tool breakage and wear)
  • Protected mounting away from moving parts
  • With integrated measuring amplifier with optional ± 10 V or 4-20 mA / 4-12-20 mA as robust output signal
